Keyboarding

Fifth grade students receive instruction and practice in keyboarding skills as well as an introduction to many word processing skills they will be using at Meadows in the years to come. Using Claris Works, they will learn how to make basic spreadsheets and databases, and also how to format word processing documents.

Tech Lab

The Technology Lab gives students a broad exposure to many different technologies, high-tech tools of technology, and technological concepts. Although primarily a computer lab, many of the activities involve non-computerized, hand-on activities. These activities are designed to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and research skills.

Yearbook

The Meadows' Yearbook is one of the few middle school yearbooks created entirely on the computer with digital media. The students use digital cameras and scanners as well as software programs such as PageMaker and Photoshop to design and create the book.
